Method 1: Installing With the Applicator (30 seconds)
Step 1: Pick a low-dust room
Dust is the enemy. A bathroom right after a hot shower is ideal — steam pulls dust out of the air. Turn off ceiling fans and wash your hands.
Step 2: Clean the screen
Alcohol wipe across every inch, then dry with the microfiber cloth. Any fingerprint left behind becomes a bubble.
Step 3: Final dust check
Hold the phone at an angle under a light. Lift anything you see with a dust-removal sticker. Do not skip this.
Step 4: Seat the tray
Drop the applicator onto the phone. It locates itself against the edges — no eyeballing the speaker cutout.
Step 5: Pull the film
Pull the tab. The protector lowers onto the screen and the adhesive spreads on its own. Do not press down.
Method 2: Installing By Hand (no tray)
If you're fitting a protector that came without an applicator:
- Clean and dust-check as above
- Peel the backing film halfway, holding the other half clear
- Line up the speaker cutout and Face ID sensor before anything touches
- Lower one edge first and let gravity carry the rest
- Push any remaining bubbles from the centre outward with a cloth-wrapped card
Common Mistakes to Avoid
Installing in a dusty room
One speck ruins it. Bathroom after a shower is the best environment you have at home.
Pressing down hard
Pressure traps air. The adhesive does the work.
Touching the adhesive side
Skin oil leaves a permanent haze. Handle by the edges only.
Leaving small bubbles overnight
Push them to the nearest edge straight away. They set harder the longer you wait.
What If You Still Get Bubbles?
- Air bubbles under 2mm: push them to the nearest edge with a card; most settle within 24-48 hours
- Dust bubbles: lift that corner of the protector with sticky tape, remove the particle, lay it back down
